Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana are Italian Fashion Designer. They company are based in Milay Italy with D&G brand. D&G commonly abbreviate as Dolce&Gabbana, they have an Italian luxury fashion house at Italy. They specialized in expensive luxury items, is more formal and timeless then influenced more by designers to responding long-term rather than seasonal changes. In 2005, Dolce & Gabbana turnover was €750 million.

Biography of Dolce & Cabbana

Domenico Dolce was born September 13, 1958 in Polizzi Generoza, Sicily. He was worked in his family’s small clothing factory and studied fashion design in Sicily. Stefano Gabbana was born November, 14, 1962 in Venice, Italy. He had studied graphic design, but no fashion education.  In 1980, Domenico Dolce and Stefan Gabbana met when they were working as assistants in an atelier in Milan. In 1982, they started business together then continued to do freelance designing for others.

In 1986, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Cabbana won international acclaim for their first collection. In 1989, their first boutique opened in Japan, they presented first men’s collection, then opened first boutique for women in Milan. Then they began designing the Complice line for the Genny Group in Milan. D & G brands has two central lines and also sells such as Clothes, Purses, Sunglasses black shirts, Corrective Eyewears, Ready to Wear, and Watches. Dolce&Gabbana is a slighty more than casual line then attemps to set trends and follows an urban  inspiration rather than follow them. The flamboyant line of the brand D & G is the younger. In 1990, they receive Woolmark Award, then in 1992 were added scarves, ties, beachwear, perfume and accessories.

In 2005-2006, they was distributed 1000 golden D&G Motorola RASR V3i mobile phones that distributed by major Motorola retailers and D&G boutiques. In 2009, they was signed a deal with Alexandra Burke (singer) which their models fashion lines in music video and promotion  by Alexandra Burke. Dolce&Gabbana have been voted UK’s best luxury brand.

There are six freestanding Dolce & Gabbana boutiques in the United States, such as Beverly Hills-California, New York City-New York, Las Vegas-Nevada, Bal Harbour Shops-Florida  and The Mall at Short Hills-New Jersey.

Another of that’s, Dolce and Gabbana has  kiosks in several department stores in Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, Neinman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. They have 6 stores in Latin America, such as Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Panama. They plans to expand into the American cities of Washington D.C, Chicago, San Francisco, Atlanta and Boston.
